Marika Hedin new CEO at RJ
The Board of Riksbankens Jubileumsfond has appointed Marika Hedin as CEO of the foundation. She comes to RJ from Gustavianum, Uppsala University's museum.
It is with great happiness and confidence that the Board of Riksbankens Jubileumsfond has appointed Marika Hedin as the foundation's new CEO. Hedin will take over when the current CEO, Göran Blomqvist, retires at the end of the year after 12 years leading the foundation.
'This is one of the more important positions in Sweden for anyone wanting to influence research and promote a strong position for the humanities and social sciences, nationally and internationally. We are very happy to welcome Marika Hedin as RJ's new CEO', says Maarit Jänterä-Jareborg, Board Chair.
Marika Hedin is an historian with a PhD and has extensive experience as the head of a variety of museums and institutions.
'I look forward to working with the Board to lead the work at Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. Research questions have been central to me in all my previous positions. Riksbankens Jubileumsfond has an important strategic role in the humanities and social sciences, and I gladly take on the responsibility entrusted in me', says Marika Hedin.
Marika Hedin will begin as CEO on 1 February 2019.
