Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School
Are you a researcher or doctoral student needing increased skills in or having an interest in the digital humanities?
Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ), in collaboration with the University of Oxford, is offering 25 spots on a summer school in the digital humanities. RJ pays for accommodation, travel and course fees. The summer school offers lectures by experts in the field, and participants can choose between eight parallel workshops that last for one week. The summer school takes place 22–26 July 2019. Instructions
To apply, write an application letter (max. 5 000 characters including spaces) that explains why you need to attend the Oxford summer school and how it is linked to your research, which should also be described. A relevant CV for the course is to be attached to the application. The announcement is open to doctoral students and researchers who have been awarded their PhD. The application is submitted through RJ's application system.
Assessment criteria
The key criterion for RJ's decision is the academic need for the summer school in relation to the research conducted by the applicant.
Review process
The call for applications opens 15 February and the deadline is 11 March at 16.00. The decisions will be announced no later than 26 March. Applications will be evaluated by RJ's office. No explanations of decisions will be issued.
Final report
After completion of the course, RJ will request a final report (max. 5 000 characters including spaces). The report is to discuss how the participant experienced the summer course and what the course has meant for the participant's competency in the field. Deadline 16 September 2019.
