Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School
Are you a researcher or doctoral student needing increased skills in or having an interest in the digital humanities?
Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) offers, in collaboration with the University of Oxford, 20 places at a summer school in digital humanities. RJ pays for accommodation, meals, travel and course fees. The summer school offers lectures by experts in the field, interspersed with opportunities to choose between eight different workshops that run for a week. The course takes place at Keble College on 13-17 July 2020. See link for further information from the Oxford Summer School.
Instructions
You must write a letter of application (maximum 5,000 characters including spaces) in which the required education at Oxford must be justified and the connection to and a description of the research you are conducting. Furthermore, the relevant CV for the course must be stated in the application. The call is open to doctoral students and doctoral researchers. The application is made via RJ's application system.
Assessment criteria
The decisive criteria for RJ's decision are the scientific requirements for the summer school in relation to the research that the applicant is conducting.
Preparation process
The application system opens on January 20 and the deadline for applications is February 20 at 4 p.m. Applicants will be notified by March 16 at the latest. The applications are prepared by RJ's office, no justification for the decision is provided.
Final report
After completing the course, RJ requests a final report (of a maximum of 5,000 characters including spaces). The final report is made via RJ's application system. The report must deal with the experience of the summer course and what it has meant for the applicant's competence in the field. Deadline September 16, 2020.
