RJ awards SEK 380 million to research in the humanities and social sciences

Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) is awarding almost SEK 380 million to researchers in the humanities and social sciences. A total of 80 projects will receive funding.

To ensure that funding is awarded to applications of the highest scientific quality, the Foundation places great emphasis on the assessment process. Applications are assessed and prioritised by one or more panels comprising senior researchers and are subsequently reviewed by external experts.

The funded research projects are distributed as follows:

  • 45 projects under RJ Project (research for up to three years)
  • 3 projects under RJ Programme (larger research groups funded for six to
    eight years)
  • 28 projects under RJ Sabbatical (researchers completing advanced
research over a period of six to twelve months)
  • 4 projects under RJ Flexit (collaboration between researchers and
organisations in the private, public and non-profit sectors)
