RJ Flexit offers researchers, companies and other organisations within private, public and non-profit sectors the opportunities to collaborate, develop and exchange knowledge and experience. The purpose is to support collaboration between higher education and external parties.

The researcher and company/organisation (host organisation) are to formulate a joint proposal for a research project. The project is to be based on a well-explained need of the host organisation that the researcher can address. The proposal also needs to have the support of the researcher’s higher education institution.

RJ Flexit projects run between 1 and 3 years and are conducted at both the host organisation and the higher education institution. The researcher is expected to work for the mutual exchange of knowledge between the organisation and higher education institution throughout the project period and to actively participate in the network meetings organised through RJ Flexit.
