One issue raised in recent years is if acquired the heritage of environmental impact also alters the health of subsequent generations. Such epigenetic perspective lies at the heart of this project, which is designed to examine the impact of the crisis industrial city Norrköping residents underwent. Much of the research has focused on identifying the children's fathers at least three generations back in time. Because there are a rich, full archives and source materials that describe the social, economic and industrial and urban development, it is possible to link children's health to the crises ancestors experienced. A rich diversity of biological material is available from children and mothers, and can be extended. For example, the current stress level can be checked.
