The main purpose of the proposed project is to gain better theoretical/conceptual and empirical understanding for inter-organizational collaboration in regional sustainable tourism development.
The aim is to investigate the evolution of regional inter-organizational collaboration between tourism stakeholders and four strategically important sectors in the region of Västra Götaland (film sector, maritime sector, local community and environmental "sector"). The otcome of the project revolves around knowledge-exchange and increased theoretical and empirical knowledge about sustainable tourism through inter-organizational collaboration, formation of strategic alliances and policy implications.
