A restart strategy at Trollhättans Stad - From strategies to implementation of a living city center with digital innovation
The project aims to increase knowledge of how a municipality, with the help of business cooperation, can go from strategy to implementation of a living city centre with digital innovation. The City of Trollhättan faces several challenges in terms of a living city centre, where the need for change management and collaboration with the private business community is essential. The project has a particular focus on the "digital city centre".
The researcher will analyze the city's work with the inclusive and digital neighbourhood city. The researcher acts as a change leader who identifies critical phases in the process and collaborates with business actors to transform digital challenges into opportunities such as hybrid meeting places, digital business and virtual experiences for a living city centre. Such cooperation occurs in workshops with participants from private businesses, decision-makers and civil servants, where innovative ideas should lead to prototypes and testing.
The research question guiding the project is how a municipality can go from strategy to implementation in the context of a living and digital city centre. The academic purpose is to contribute to the knowledge of how the inclusion of the private business community can contribute to the growth of a neighbourhood city with digital innovation. It will also contribute to increased theoretical and empirical knowledge about collaborative forms, work-integrated learning (AIL) and the rise of the digital city.
